Lillies and crafting!

I woke this morning to a gorgeous sight..

My mother bought me some lillies (my favourite flower, I love every single type of lilly)and they opened this morning. Absolutely stunning with the most amazing colour. When I sort my garden out I'll definitely be planting a few million of these!

I started this blog thinking I'd update it often but since I binned my old one and started this one life seriously got in the way! I've been busy with a craft swap!

These are the items I made for the girl I got:

A lined shoulder bag which took me absolutely ages. Never spent so long on a project before. I cut the strips, sewed them, sewed them again (the aqua fabric was just falling apart in my hands tbh)then backed it onto plain aqua fabric. Then i attached waterproof sheeting to line the inside, sewed up the bag, attached a zip (I will never do this again!!) then put some handles on it and due to my awful handle stitching I attached some lovely big buttons and it worked well!

She keeps chickens too and so I made a chicken pincushion

The reason for the crazy fabric is I wanted to tie in all the items I made :)

A mini bag for her daughter who is 2

I also included some funky looking mice which were different sizes and very nice to squish:

Her son is only a few months old and so I decorated a photo frame:

and then attached his name

I thoroughly enjoyed crafting for someone else! this is what I got from another girl:

It includes a hand decorated box

and a lush bracelet

That's all for now, I must move as I'm expecting the in laws this afternoon and the house is a bomb site!
