Treasure

Mr me went to the opticians this morning and brought me home a pressie:

He's being a star as usual and seeing as he was supposed to be going to the barber to get his amazing curls cut off. We are both extremely curly people and he usually goes from full head of curls to a number 2 all over (and I hate it because of the massive contrast!). Luckily the barbers was packed and he's agree to me giving him a quick trim. I was really sad when he left this morning but he brought back the biscuits as a smile maker.

Here's his hair

We had an appointment in the city centre today, and afterwards as a treat he took me to the Cardiff Pumping Station which is absolutely FULL of treasure. It's got the odds and ends that have been so dearly preloved by all kinds of people.

They offer services such as house clearing but they have some amazing pieces which obviously have come from gran houses, gardens and even overseas.

I'm GUTTED because my phone has taken 1 second videos instead of pictures for the other indoor items, there was a fantastic vanity mirror and a Japanese unit (I'm now officially in love with everything oriental!) and loads of cups and saucers which were so amazingly shabby chic, droolworthy to be honest.

I'd love a huge garden with room for the outdoor ornaments. Hubster was particularly wanting the canons. He's really into his military history and he tells me that they are Howitzers and they are special because they fire at an upwards angle and not flat. Different fighting technique or something. Makes me smile when he comes out with his nerdy little facts!

I will be going back to that shop alone so that I can buy the things I fancy without Mr looking over my shoulder and grumbling.

Edit: added this video for Sara to see xx
